Corrections and removal requests

This page mirrors § 8 of the Privacy Policy, which is the authoritative text.

What BlockLot publishes

BlockLot republishes and analyzes public records about New York City real property — ownership, deeds and mortgages, permits, violations, tax assessments and similar — as published by government agencies. Every displayed fact identifies its source. Scores and groupings are our own inferences from those records and are labeled as such.

If something we show is wrong

If what we display differs from the current government record, write to corrections@blocklot.ai and tell us:

We will check the source and correct our copy promptly. Sources refresh on differing schedules, so a correction the agency has already made may reach us on its own; we update our copy once the change is captured by a refresh or independently verified.

If the government record itself is wrong, it has to be corrected with the agency that maintains it. We cannot alter the city's record — but once the agency does, our copy follows.

Requests to remove information

We generally do not remove accurate public records. They remain public at the source whether or not we display them, and removing our copy does not change that.

We do review and act on requests involving:

Send those to corrections@blocklot.ai with enough information for us to verify your connection to the record. We respond within 10 business days.

Send a request

Use this form or write to corrections@blocklot.ai — both reach the same person. We reply by e-mail, so the address below has to be one you read.

What kind of request is this?

We use what you send only to handle this request. For a removal we may ask for more to verify your connection to the record.

If you hold an account

Requests about your own account data — access, correction, deletion — go to legal@blocklot.ai from your account e-mail address. See § 6 of the Privacy Policy.
